Panoramaland Chatter FAQ
What we cover, where the numbers come from and how we check them.
How we cover
What is Panoramaland Chatter?
Panoramaland Chatter is the Hometown Chatter site for Panoramaland, central Utah’s Richfield hub (Sanpete, Sevier, Millard, Piute and Wayne counties). We publish local alerts, high school scores, mountain bike results, good news, trails and local deals, using real numbers and official sources only. We are part of Hometown Chatter. Our sister live region is DixieChatter in Southern Utah.
Which places do you cover?
Sanpete, Sevier, Millard, Piute and Wayne counties. Focus area: Richfield as the hub, plus Manti, Ephraim, Mt. Pleasant, Gunnison, Salina, Monroe, Delta, Fillmore, Junction, Loa, Torrey and Capitol Reef. Content outside those counties belongs on another Utah region site or the national hub.
How do high school scores work?
We post verified scores and records as soon as an official source confirms them. Sources: UHSAA and each school’s own athletics page. We never use MaxPreps. Cards stay empty until a number is verified. Every posted score shows a timestamp (America/Denver) and the named source. We cover 11 high schools: North Sanpete (Mt. Pleasant), Manti, Gunnison Valley, Richfield, South Sevier (Monroe), North Sevier (Salina), Delta, Millard (Fillmore), EskDale, Piute (Junction) and Wayne (Bicknell). See the scores page.
Where do mountain bike results come from?
Utah High School Cycling League (NICA Utah) results come only from utahmtb.org and RaceResult. Local races need an official posted result. We do not invent placements or times. The 2026 state championship results come from RaceResult event 427826.
How do you handle weather and road alerts?
Alerts come from the NWS Salt Lake City office, UDOT and local emergency offices for Sanpete, Sevier, Millard, Piute and Wayne counties. Each alert card shows when we last checked it and which agency issued it. Alerts that have cleared or expired are removed or labeled, so stale warnings never stay up as current. See the alert sources.
Are you live yet?
Not yet. This is a partner preview: pages stay noindex with a visible “Partner preview — not launched” banner, and feedback is welcome. Structure, visuals and FAQ are built now, so going live means flipping a switch, not rewriting the site.
Who runs this, and how can I trust it?
Hometown Chatter is local-first news for Utah regions. Our editorial rules: cite the source, use real numbers, publish fast and skip the fluff. Photos are either ours or free public-domain or openly licensed images, credited on the page. The header photo is a public-domain National Park Service image of the Waterpocket Fold at Capitol Reef. Our only income is AdSense and platform payouts. We do not sell ads into the feed.
How do social posts relate to the site?
Every social post about a story opens the page that story lives on. We write unique local copy. We do not boost posts or buy placements until a revenue path is approved.
